New York City has a draconian “stop-and-frisk” policy that adversely focuses on minorities – to the tune of 90 percent of the stops. NYC is apparently a 4th Amendment-free zone.
The city’s czar, er, mayor is probably the most loathsome person in the country. Mike Bloomberg. We here at S&S have a bit of a rogue’s gallery of villains. We feel as though we are Batman and we fight the “bad guys.” So the Joker to our Batman is Bloomberg. Without question. He has power (hello, he’s the mayor of America’s largest city), he has sway (hello, he’s convinced a supposedly “liberal” city to go along with Big Brotherism), he’s got money (hello, he bought an illegal third term).
So what did this blog’s arch-nemesis do this past week? In a week that made all kinds of history, Mayor Bloomberg said this – in public…
“I think we disproportionately stop whites too much and minorities too little.”
